Peter leads Seneca’s effort to increase government funding for capital expansion, special programming, projects, training and applied research. Prior to joining Seneca in 2003, Peter was Special Adviser to the President of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. He has also served as the Director of International Projects at Durham College.
Peter has been a long-time public servant at the federal and provincial levels in numerous capacities, including as a Research Analyst with the Royal Commission on Electoral Reform and Party Financing; as Senior Policy Adviser and Senior International Trade Adviser with the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Energy; and as Chief of Staff and Executive Assistant to the Ontario Minister of Education and Training.
Peter is also a member of the part-time faculty of the Public Policy and Administration programs at Ryerson University and York University and the part-time faculty of the Management Program at the University of Toronto.
Peter recently completed his doctorate through the University of Toronto’s Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. His thesis focused on government relations at postsecondary institutions. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in public policy and administration from York University and McMaster University respectively.
