Government Relations priorities

GR is dedicated to working with Seneca’s partners in advocacy (such as community groups, associations and think tanks) to promote the issues vital to Seneca’s success, including:

  • The achievement of goals specific to Seneca’s Strategic Plan: Accessibility; national status; financial health; quality education and the expansion of international education;
  • The generation of non-traditional non-operations-based revenue for Seneca’s educational programs and training services;
  • Advocacy of key postsecondary education (PSE) policy issues of relevance to Seneca, such as the commercialization of applied research, the integration of foreign-trained professionals into the workplace; national recognition of college credits; and financial assistance for students; and
  • Institutional compliance with Lobbyist Registration acts (federal and provincial).
