Student Concerns

Seneca College has a number of services available to help address any concerns you have.

Whether your concerns are personal, academic, financial, an infringement of college policies, career choices, or a legal matter, there is someone on campus who can help you.

The Resolution, Equity and Diversity Centre (REDC)

Seneca College is committed to ensuring a respectful accessible, safe and inclusive environment; free from discrimination, harassment and violence for all students, employees and visitors. To meet this objective the Resolution, Equity and Diversity Centre (REDC) is responsible for implementing education, awareness, prevention, and training programs to support a diverse and positive campus climate.

Counselling and Disability Service

Experienced counselors offer confidential individual consultation for all members of the Seneca community. There is no charge, except in a few cases for test and other materials.

Health Centre

Student, staff, faculty and community members are all welcome to take advantage of our many professional health services. Drop in with a question or schedule a visit with one of our physicians or Registered Nurse – we'll help you answer any health questions you may have.

Legal Aid

The Legal Aid Clinic is held every Wednesday, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm in the Student Services Office, Room D2000, at the Newnham Campus. Appointments can be made at the Student Services Reception desk or by phoning extension 2925. Each appointment will be for 15 minutes. For your information, Stan Gershman also holds a Legal Aid Clinic at the Fairview Mall (Don Mills/Sheppard) every Wednesday and Thursday, from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. This is free for Seneca students with a Seneca I.D. Card. The telephone number at the Fairview Legal Aid Clinic is (416) 493-0752.

Ombudsperson

The Ombudsperson receives and investigates complaints in an independent, objective, impartial and confidential manner when all other College resources have been exhausted.
