Seneca College offers a range of leading edge community service programs designed to provide adult learners with the skills, knowledge and contacts they need to thrive in the rapidly evolving realm of human service work. These programs combine a range of classroom experiences along with intensive 'hands on' opportunities to create a powerful and transformational educational experience for students.

The south central Ontario campus location in King City is easily accessed from downtown Toronto to Barrie, and from Orangeville to Oshawa. In most cases, the student is able to find a field placement in his or her home community, thus reducing the necessity for commuting every day. Curriculum is designed to take into consideration this geographic location and emphasizes skills development identified as important by major area social service employers.

Program graduates find employment throughout the entire range of human service settings - i.e.: major area hospitals; welfare agencies; community support programs; health, mental health and disability organizations, long-term care facilities and correctional settings.

Program graduates are eligible for membership in The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
