Civil engineering technicians and technologists are involved in the planning, design and construction of major infrastructure and services including roads, tunnels, bridges, water supplies, buildings and new communities. Graduates find careers working with the latest computer technology where they design the built environment or in the field where they survey, test materials and soils, and construct new facilities or improve the quality of existing ones – making a difference both to the quality of the environment and to permanent features used by everyone.
