The Importance of Learning Skills:

Student success in college requires well developed learning skills (such as being able to work independently, participate in a team, be well-organized, develop good work habits, and show initiative). These skills are as important as prior academic achievement. While it is expected that applicants would have developed these skills through previous education and life experiences, Seneca offers support to assist students with further development of these important skills.

Expedite your CGA designation in a classroom environment, earn credits that are transferable to a degree, and develop the critical systems and information technology skills that will give you an advantage in the workplace.

Our concise and focused AIT graduate certificate program allows you to complete all 4th level CGA subjects in addition to two 5th level subjects. Upon graduation, you’ll be poised to succeed in the world of accounting and finance or to pursue further education. Qualify and you’ll have the opportunity to complete the online Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree program with Laurentian University. Please see Laurentian University website for details.

Your career path could lead you into any of the large financial institutions, banks, insurance companies, into government departments, private and public large corporations' finance and accounting departments, international trading companies or multinational corporations. Testimonial

"The AIT program is an intense two semester program that focuses equally on Accounting and Information Technology. I learned to step out of my comfort zone and enhance my research and presentation skills. With technological developments moving forward at a speed that's almost impossible to keep up with, in order to remain competitive accountants must have knowledge of IT systems and understand how they relate to the accounting industry. The AIT program will give you an edge over others in the field, and make you more marketable. Within two months of completing the program I was offered a job with BDO Dunwoody LLP, one of Canada's largest accounting services firms."
