Qualified students will also be within five on-line courses of completing an on-line Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Laurentian University. Upon graduation, your career path could lead you into any of the large financial institutions, banks, insurance companies, into government departments, private and public large corporations' finance and accounting departments, international trading companies or multinational corporations. Qualified students can then complete the Honours Bachelor of Commerce (H.B. Com) degree (Laurentian University).

Upon completion of the Laurentian degree, and two years work experience, you may apply to the Laurentian University unique M.B.A. graduate program of study and complete an M.B.A. in one year. The flexibility is yours in that Seneca's degree is in-class and the Laurentian program is offered online!

Note: The AIT program builds on the skills, knowledge and learning outcomes of the courses required for Level 1 to 3 of the Certified General Accountant (CGA) program. Applicants other than accounting graduates from Ontario post-secondary institutions should submit their post secondary credentials to the CGA including foreign credentials for evaluation. Once you have this evaluation, a copy should be forwarded to Seneca upon application to the AIT program. If your CGA evaluation does not equate to the third level, it may be possible to take courses from Seneca’s Accounting and Finance (ACF) three-year Advanced Diploma program or Professional Accounting Practice (PRA) Graduate Certificate program in order to obtain this level. Following successful completion of the prescribed courses (Grade of B or better), you would be eligible to apply for admission to the Accounting and Information Technology (AIT) Graduate Certificate program. Testimonial

"The AIT program is an intense two semester program that focuses equally on Accounting and Information Technology. I learned to step out of my comfort zone and enhance my research and presentation skills. With technological developments moving forward at a speed that's almost impossible to keep up with, in order to remain competitive accountants must have knowledge of IT systems and understand how they relate to the accounting industry. The AIT program will give you an edge over others in the field, and make you more marketable. Within two months of completing the program I was offered a job with BDO Dunwoody LLP, one of Canada's largest accounting services firms."
